PARI Infrastructure & Innovation Lab
Developing Innovative Methods for Resilient Structures
OVERVIEW
The PARI Infrastructure and Innovation Lab (PIIL) focuses on research and solutions to create, develop and support innovative construction methods of superior and resilient structural performance with optimized construction schedules and cost.
PIIL’s dedicated staff has support from the qualified faculty and graduate students in Purdue University’s Lyles School of Civil and Construction Engineering and School of Mechanical Engineering. PIIL has advanced computational servers that run complex structural and heat transfer analysis software for engineering, testing and design support.
PIIL uses Purdue’s world renowned Bowen Large Scale Structural Testing Laboratory and the Purdue Energetics Research Center for testing structural assemblies, benchmarking numerical models, nurturing new construction technologies, innovative design validation and federal and state regulatory construction licensing support.
